About The Role

• Our client is hiring a Sr. DevOps Engineer (Java) with strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native platforms, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and backend Java development (Spring Boot, Kafka, Microservices). This role is ideal for engineers who are 70% DevOps focused and 30% Java-driven, and who can contribute to large-scale digital transformation programs across Fortune 50 companies.
  

Top Mandatory Skills

• DevOps Experience: 5+ years in modern DevOps practices
• CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Cloud Providers: AWS / Azure / GCP (any one with depth)
• IaC Tools: Terraform / Pulumi
• Linux: Strong command line & OS-level understanding
• Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, TypeScript or Python
• Java: Java 8 or 17+, Spring Boot, Kafka, Microservices architecture
• Mentorship: Should have experience mentoring junior engineers
  

Nice To Haves

• Strong observability and monitoring knowledge (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK)
• Prior experience in consulting or client-facing roles
• Agile/Scrum delivery exposure
• Experience with configuration tools like Ansible, Chef
• U.S. client communication experience
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure
• Architect and optimize cloud solutions for scalability and reliability
• Lead deployment strategies across dev/test/prod environments
• Guide junior engineers and ensure DevOps best practices adoption
• Write automation scripts and manage containerized applications
• Support product teams in monitoring, security, and compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global delivery model

• Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related field
• No job hoppers or candidates with frequent gaps
• Must have organizational stability
