DevOps Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the Configuration and Management of CI/CD Pipelines: Learn and contribute to automating build, test, and deployment workflows using industry-standard tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI).
• Monitor and Optimize System Performance: Help in setting up monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to track system performance and ensure optimal operation.
• Work on Cloud Infrastructure: Gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and assist in provisioning, scaling, and securing cloud resources.
• Networking Tasks: Support the DevOps and Network teams by configuring and troubleshooting network-related issues, VPNs, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, and other network components to ensure smooth operation of cloud services.
• Automation: Write and maintain scripts for automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management (e.g., using Terraform, Ansible, or Bash/Python scripts).
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with developers, operations teams, and network engineers to optimize and maintain a robust and secure environment.
• Troubleshoot Issues: Investigate and resolve issues related to infrastructure, networking, deployments, or performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
  

Key Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Knowledge of Networking Concepts: Understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, VPNs, NAT, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Experience with Linux-based systems and basic system administration.
• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Scripting and Automation Skills: Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or knowledge of configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI).
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about technology and DevOps practices.
