Job Description What You'll Do : Automation Tooling : Design, develop, and maintain robust automation tools and scripts to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes, particularly for Salesforce applications. CI/CD Pipeline Management : Own and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce metadata and other application deployments, ensuring continuous integration and continuous delivery. Cloud Deployment Optimization : Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize cloud deployments, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Salesforce Metadata Deployment : Lead and manage the deployment of Salesforce metadata, configurations, and code across various environments (Sandbox, UAT, Production). Scripting : Utilize Shell/Python scripting extensively to automate routine tasks, build custom tools, and enhance existing workflows. Environment Management : Administer and maintain development, testing, and production environments, ensuring their stability, security, and performance. Monitoring & Alerting : Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of deployed applications and infrastructure. Collaboration : Work closely with Salesforce developers, administrators, QA teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and implement effective DevOps strategies. Best Practices : Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices, security standards, and scalable & Qualifications : Experience : 7+ years of proven experience in a DevOps engineering role. DevOps & CI/CD : Strong expertise in DevOps principles and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab CI/CD. Scripting : Proficient in Shell scripting and/or Python scripting for automation. Salesforce Deployment : Demonstrable experience with Salesforce metadata deployment, including familiarity with Salesforce DX, Ant Migration Tool, or similar deployment mechanisms. Version Control : Solid understanding and practical experience with Git. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across development, integration, and production environments. Communication : Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse Skills (Good to Have) : Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
