Role Summary
We are hiring DevOps Engineers (6+ years) to join a secure cloud delivery team for a BFSI client. The role demands strong hands-on capabilities in cloud infra automation (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and security-compliant deployments. You will work within a collaborative DevOps team—not in isolation—alongside developers, architects, and cloud security stakeholders.Candidates must demonstrate mature technical ownership in configuring infrastructure components, deploying containerized services, monitoring critical metrics, and integrating IAM controls. Prior experience on GCP is must. 3+ years of minimum experience in cloud engineering, in GCP. This is a client-facing, onsite role, suitable for engineers who want to deepen their expertise in regulated enterprise environments.

Skill
Terraform (IaC)
Must have modified or extended reusable Terraform modules to provision compute, networking, IAM, or storage. Should have managed plan/apply cycles, variable reuse, remote state, and troubleshooting of resource drift. Full module authorship not required.
Cloud Platform (3+ years GCP must have)
Must have deployed workloads (VMs, VPCs, IAM, storage) on at least one public cloud. Multi-cloud design not required. Candidate should understand basic CLI usage, IAM policies, and service integration.
CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)
Must have configured and maintained pipelines for multi-stage deployments, integrating Git repos, environment promotion logic, and rollback strategies. Must be familiar with secret handling and pipeline-as-code techniques. Shared library templating is optional.
Docker & Kubernetes
Must have containerized microservices using Docker, and deployed them into Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS). Should understand pod lifecycle, service discovery, health probes, and auto-scaling basics. Helm use is preferred but not mandatory.
Linux Admin
Must have administered production Linux servers, handled shell scripts, tuned CPU/memory/disk/network, and analyzed system/service logs (e.g., NGINX, systemd). No kernel-level tuning required.
IAM & Secrets
Must have worked with role-based IAM (IAM roles, service accounts) and secrets handling in pipelines (e.g., via env vars, GitLab vaults). Hands-on with Vault/KMS is a plus, not mandatory.
Monitoring / Alerting
Must have used tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana to track system/app health, configure threshold alerts, and respond to real-time incidents. Full SRE-level SLI/SLO design is not required.
Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
Should understand how web protocols and cloud networking interact: DNS lookups, HTTP/S calls, TCP/IP routing, basic firewall rule debugging.
Agile Collaboration
Must have participated in Agile sprints, JIRA-based release planning, and collaborated with QA/Dev/Infra teams. Mentoring juniors is preferred, not mandatory.
