About The Job

In this role the person will

. Specifically,

• Work with business and products teams to understand requirements, and translate them into technical needs
• Drive value from product prototyping to development, deployment, and optimization
• Develop, operate, and scale AI platforms based on requirements and design specifications using appropriate tools and technologies (following GitOps principles)
• Partner with peers within Digital, driving the continuous improvement of service processes, user experiences, and AI platforms and applications
• Propose and establish technical designs, patterns and best practices actively contributing to the engineering community
• Conduct peer reviews for quality, consistency, and rigor for production level solutions
• Remain up to date industry practices, company standards and emerging technologies
• Chart the course to daily releases for hundreds of products on dozens of technologies.
  

Key Functional Requirements & Qualifications

• Should have experience in working in agile cross-functional teams to solve complex data architecture and engineering problems
• Must have excellent analytical capabilities, and have the drive to find solutions and strong problem-solving skills
• Must have a solid understanding of agile concepts and development processes
  

Education

Key Technical Requirements & Qualifications:

• Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or similar field with 6-8 years of engineering experience.
  

Experience

• Expertise with public cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Expertise in agile development processes and DevOps methodology / best practices / patterns
• Expertise in managing cloud-native systems following GitOps principles (GitHub, GitLab, terraform, CI/CD, Orchestration, Actions)
• Expertise with monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana)
• Mentoring and/or technology evangelism/advocacy
• Scaling and operations of containerized applications (Kubernetes)
• Linux based operating systems and scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting)
• Data storage technologies (Object, structured, and unstructured) and knowledge of SQL and relational databases (AWS RDS)
