DevOps Architect

Job Summary

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective DevOps architectures for cloud and hybrid environments.
• Define the DevOps roadmap, frameworks, tools, and best practices aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with the CTO/CEO and development teams to align infrastructure with application needs.
• Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless and automated application deployment.
• Standardize release management, build automation, testing, and deployment processes.
• Promote Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Design and manage cloud-native infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of cloud resources.
• Optimize cost and performance of cloud services and applications.
• Implement robust DevSecOps practices, integrating security into every stage of the development lifecycle.
• Set up centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Mentor DevOps engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Act as the technical advisor to executive leadership on DevOps and cloud strategy.
• Coordinate across development, QA, IT, and security teams for smooth delivery and operations.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of overall IT experience, with at least 3 years as a DevOps Architect or Lead.
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles, Agile practices, and modern software development lifecycles.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, etc.).
• Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong command of scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response frameworks.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure governance.
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and service mesh technologies is a plus
