In the SAP Ariba Engineering organization, within the Intelligent Spend Management group, you will lead a team of talented engineers dedicated to revolutionizing how enterprises manage their procurement processes. Your team will consist of senior developers, architects, and QA specialists who are committed to delivering top-notch procurement solutions. Your role involves possessing an engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent with significant hands-on software development experience. You should have a proven track record of leading engineering teams successfully and scaling teams to deliver complex enterprise software solutions. Additionally, experience in delivering SaaS solutions and microservices architecture, particularly in enterprise procurement or spend management domains, is essential. A strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, system design, and expertise in contributing to large-scale distributed system architecture is required. Knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps skills is a plus. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, UX Design, and Technical Product Management teams, as well as partner with global engineering centers and the broader SAP ecosystem. Your work will directly impact organizations worldwide by enabling them to streamline their procurement processes, driving efficiency and compliance across global supply chains. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Product Management to shape product strategy and prioritize development initiatives. - Lead Agile (SCRUM) development teams to deliver robust, scalable features. - Partner with global engineering leadership to evolve SDLC practices, operational excellence, and technical architecture. - Champion the adoption of Generative AI tools and GitHub Copilot to accelerate code development and enhance code quality. - Manage team development including performance management, career growth, coaching, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. - Lead resolution of critical technical challenges, customer escalations, and platform incidents. - Champion continuous integration best practices including zero-downtime deployments, canary releases, feature flags, and automated testing frameworks.
