Job Description: Desktop IT Engineer

Phalgune Infotech Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Desktop IT Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for end-user computing devices and related peripherals. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and providing exceptional service to our employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, peripherals, and networking equipment
  • Resolving issues with internet connectivity, printers, scanners and other IT equipment
  • Performing troubleshooting to diagnose system failures and identify root causes
  • Escalating complex issues to the appropriate teams if unable to resolve them independently
  • Documenting technical issues and solutions in a ticketing system
  • Resolving common problems like network connectivity, password reset, email access, printer jamming, etc.
  • Upgrading or replacing hardware components like memory, network cards, video cards
  • Installing operating systems, software drivers and applications
  • Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
  • Ability to interact with users clearly, politely and patiently

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA1 A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
  • Proven experience 1 to 2 years in a desktop support role.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems Windows, macOS, Linux and productivity software like Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with Active Directory (or other directory services) user management will be a definite plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.2
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
  • Experience with remote support tools.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
