Design Engineer

Job Title: Design Engineer – Trainee (Fresher) Department: Design & Engineering Industry: Elevator Manufacturing Location: Banashankari 2nd stage Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer – Fresher to join our growing engineering team in the elevator manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying elevator designs using CAD software, supporting senior engineers, and ensuring technical drawings meet industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist in creating 2D and 3D drawings for elevator systems using AutoCAD / SolidWorks / other design software. Support senior engineers in preparing layout, component, and assembly drawings. Understand and apply elevator design standards, structural load calculations, and basic mechanical principles. Maintain design documentation and update revisions as per project requirements. Coordinate with the production and installation teams to resolve design-related queries. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and design guidelines. Learn and adapt to industry-specific software and standards. Requirements: Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Strong knowledge of basic engineering principles and mechanical design. Familiarity with AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo or any CAD software. Good understanding of technical drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing processes. Eagerness to learn and grow in the elevator domain. Good communication and teamwork skills. Preferred: Internship or academic project experience in machine design or vertical transport systems is a plus. Knowledge of elevator components and standards (EN 81, IS codes) is an advantage. Career Path: The candidate will be trained and mentored to grow into roles like Design Engineer, Project Engineer, or R&D Engineer in the elevator domain.
