In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on our automotive solutions to support next generation automotive connector design, development, and product ownership.

Our Team

Molex continues to grow Engineering Staff and are looking for a talented Product Design Engineers interested in our Automotive connector group. If you are looking for a way to accelerate your career and be part of a great company, this may be the opportunity for you.

What You Will Do

Product Design

Project Definition: Assist in documenting project scope, requirements, feasibility, and engineering work plans. Supports Concept generation
Predictive Engineering: Executes DFMEA, Tolerance Analysis, FEA analysis
Detailed Design: Creates product models & drawings using GD&T methodology, plastic and sheet-metal part design
Support in material selection for plastic injection molded and metal stamped components.

Design Verification, Product Validation

Validation Plan: Develop test plans (DVP&Rs) to validate product performance and analyze test results using statistical methods
Problem Solving: Lead root cause analysis utilizing structured problem-solving methods(8D)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Work Experience: 5-7 years product design experience

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent science degreePreferred: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent science degreeSkills: New product design process, Concept generation, DFMEA, GD&T, Tolerance analysis, DVPR, Plastic parts, Manufacturability, Problem solving
