At Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of the Metal of the Future, we aim to become the global best in our business, which spans the worlds’ largest smelters, mines, alumina refinery power plants and port. We operate a 3.5 MTPA (million tonnes per annum) capacity alumina refinery in Lanjigarh (Kalahandi district, Odisha) and an associated 140 MW captive power plant. This refinery is on a growth trajectory and poised to expand to 5MTPA (million tonnes per annum) by FY26 and subsequently to 6 MTPA (million tonnes per annum), making it the world’s largest and best in class refinery.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Maintain inventory & timely delivery of raw material like bauxite, Coal, HFO, Caustic, lime as per business requirement.
  • Reduction in supply chain related leakages (i.e Punitive, Dead freight, Detention & demurrage cost etc.)
  • Keep track of quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
  • Strategic connects with railway authorities, RPF and other local stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation.
  • Strategically plan routes and process shipments.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
  • Comply with government laws/regulation and Vedanta standards.
  • Railway Yard Management & Rail Safety.

The Successful Applicant:


  • B.E./ B. Tech or MBA graduate with 12 to 15 years of relevant experience preferably in a manufacturing setup.
  • Must have good knowledge of plant operations and stock management.
  • Must have good knowledge of contract law and Safety standards.
  • Should have strong networking skills and connects with railway authorities.
  • Strong leadership skills coupled with a change management outlook to drive change across the organization.
