Job Purpose

Conducting audit of implantation of changes suggested by legal team in loan collaterals. Drafting & vetting of documentation/contracts relating to Consumer Lending, Retail & SME Lending. Advising on Fixed Deposit business.

Duties And Responsibilities

  •  Conducting audit of implantation of changes suggested by legal team in loan collaterals.
  •  Drafting, reviewing and negotiation of loan and security documents relating to consumer loans, personal loan and loan against property.
  •  Drafting and reviewing the T&C’s relating to fixed deposit and advising on queries relating to deceased claim settlements, vetting of POA’s/Trust Deeds for investment related clauses etc.
  •  Structuring the customer journey and loan documentation for lending through digital modes.
  •  Structuring, drafting and negotiating product specific documentation.
  •  Drafting, reviewing and negotiation of agreements relating to interest subvention agreements, outsourcing, service provider, collaboration NDA’s, Escrow, drafts relating digital initiatives etc.
  •  Implement standard templates of new products and improve the standard templates of existing products.
  •  Drafting and vetting of T&C’s relating promotional offers.
  •  Research and analyze laws, legal and regulatory developments to assess their impact on the product and services offered by BFL and ensuring on a monthly basis the same are forming part of the dissemination of various stakeholders by way of Legal notes, journals etc and aligning the legal documents in line with regulatory/statutory changes.
  •  Co-ordinate with external law firms, wherever required to ensure specialized advice.
  •  Provide timely and sound advice on legal and contractual issues to internal clients on day to day basis.
  •  Depending on the capability and performance of the candidate, the job holder will assist other senior lawyers in the team.

Required Qualifications And Experience

  •  3 to 4 years PQE preferably in Finance Industry or from Law Firm.
  •  Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiation of lending documentation.
  •  Must be conversant with laws and regulatory guidelines relating to BFSI industry including IT Act, AADHAR Act, Data Privacy Laws, IBC Code etc.
  •  Strong written and oral communication skills
  •  Existing proficiency in Microsoft Office software products including Internet, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  •  Must be a team player and take responsibility of the work undertaken
  •  Should have worked in a process oriented environment and ready to take on additional responsibility.
  •  Should be able to support other teams where ever required by putting in extended hours of work.
