Job Description

As Deputy Manager Sourcing & Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading and driving strategic sourcing initiatives for various components, with a strong focus on cost optimization, supplier development, and procurement strategy for sheet metal, casting, forging and non-metal parts.

Role & responsibilities

Lead product and part costing activities to ensure competitive pricing and cost-effectiveness.
Strategically identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers based on capability, quality and cost parameters.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals and project timelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing and quality for seamless part development.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements with vendors.
Track market trends and commodity prices to inform sourcing decisions.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality, delivery and contractual commitments.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for sheet metal, castings, forgings, proprietary and non-metal parts.
Analytical skills in product/part costing and cost breakdowns.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP preferred) and costing tools.
Strategic thinking with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
