Key Responsibilities :-
1. Procurement & Sourcing
Identify and source raw materials such as metal cathodes, metal scrap, metal rods, brass, chemicals, and consumables.
Evaluate market trends, global metal prices (LME, MCX), and forecast material cost fluctuations.
Ensure continuous supply of materials to support manufacturing schedules.
2. Vendor Management
Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, and long-term contracts.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.
3. Cost Optimization
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Compare suppliers, perform cost-benefit analyses, and reduce procurement overheads.
Monitor currency fluctuations affecting import costs.
4. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Work closely with production, planning, logistics, and warehouse teams.
Use ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.) for material planning and tracking.
