Job Description

Automation Ideation and Technology Role & Focus Lead shop floor, machine, and process studies. Discuss, evaluate, and support optimized automation solutions. Ensure data fidelity by capturing data at the source (machines, processes, workflows). Connect available machine/process data inputs to project objectives (automation, integration, digitalization). Core Technology Areas IoT & Edge Integration IoT sensors, actuators & interfaces. Data extraction and edge calculations. Parameter sampling, validation, and storage. Embedded controls for machine/process automation. Edge analysis, sampling & data normalization. Data-Driven Manufacturing Scenario creation for prediction of faults & performance. Data transformation and secure transfer. Edge analytics with signal-data transformation. Scenario creation across Machine → Line → Shop floor. Manufacturing analytics at machine & process level. Visualization & Interfaces Design visualization & user interfaces for digital manufacturing initiatives. Power/Machine/Process visualization through sensorics. Cycle-based standardization of machine data. Categorization of data for MES terminals and other devices. Manufacturing Value Chain Integration Enable data input from key touchpoints in the manufacturing value chain. Supplier process data transfer & integration. Consolidation of data-generating device methods. Standardization of digital interfaces (hardware/software/embedded).  Outcomes & Objectives Ensure high-quality, real-time data availability for decision-making. Improve fault detection, predictive maintenance, and performance monitoring. Enable seamless data flow across devices, machines, MES, and enterprise systems. Drive digital transformation of shop floor operations. Evaluate and select technology solutions for standardization and scalability.
