Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 15+ Year experience in managing application and infra teams of min 500+ bed hospitals
• Hands-on expertise in managing Nutanix and VMware Sites, Dell and Lenovo Servers, CISCO/Mellanox Network Infrastructure, MySQL & MSSQL Databases, Data backup Tools and Technologies, IT Security. Applications developed in .Net and Java Technologies.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist the IT Manager in daily operations and take charge of overall department management in their absence.
• Lead and support the IT Application and Infrastructure Teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• In collaboration with the IT Manager, develop long-term IT infrastructure strategies and implement necessary project management processes.
• Monitor and identify information security risks and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
• Update and maintain hospital IT procedures, network documentation and internet policy guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, licensing agreements and health & safety standards through regular monitoring and user communication.
• Manage procurement of IT hardware and software, coordinating with external vendors to ensure cost-effective and quality solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging IT technologies, business process improvements and change management practices.
• Direct and assist with hardware/software installation and configuration tasks.
• Handle escalated IT issues and ensure prompt resolutions.
• Support the IT Manager in budget planning and resource allocation.
• Identify staff training needs and support continuous professional development.
