Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Sales Development Manager to strengthen Route-to-Market (RTM) effectiveness, trade marketing execution, sales capability, and asset utilization. The role works at the intersection of sales, trade marketing, and capability building, with strong ownership of dealer-level ROI and asset management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Trade Marketing & BTL Execution

  • Design and implement

    trade marketing and BTL programs

    across channels
  • Improve

    visibility, throughput, and product penetration

    at retail and distributor levels
  • Drive dealer-level investment optimization and ROI measurement
  • Work closely with sales teams (ASEs, ASMs) for on-ground execution

2. Sales Capability & RTM Development

  • Strengthen

    RTM design

    , manpower planning, and incentive structures
  • Build structured sales capability programs through systems, analytics, and tools
  • Support sales productivity improvement via training and process standardization

3. Asset Management & Control

  • End-to-end ownership of

    company-owned assets (e.g., deep freezers)

  • Asset budgeting, planning, transfers, movement tracking, and control mechanisms
  • Improve

    asset utilization

    , lifecycle management, and dealer-level deployment ROI

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain for

    growth planning and costing analysis

  • Enable peak-season readiness through effective asset and trade planning

Required qualification and skills:

Education

  • MBA from a top-tier institute

Experience

  • 5+ years in

    Sales/ Trade Marketing

  • Strong

    ASM background

  • FMCG / Dairy exposure

Key Skills

  • Trade marketing & BTL program execution
  • RTM design and sales capability building
  • Asset management, budgeting, and dealer ROI control
  • Strong salesmarketing liaison and stakeholder management

Preferred Background

  • FMCG / Dairy companies
  • Candidates with hands-on ASM experience and exposure to trade marketing
  • Experience managing refrigeration or similar field assets is a strong plus
