DGM - Marketing

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for the assigned pharmaceutical brands/products.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to drive decision-making.
  • Identify new business opportunities, including new product launches and portfolio expansion.

Brand Management:

  • Drive brand positioning and promotional strategies for existing and new products.
  • Ensure the development of effective marketing campaigns, including digital marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee content creation for promotional materials, detailing aids, and medical communication.

Sales & Business Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the sales team to support field force effectiveness and ensure alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Provide product training and marketing support to sales teams to enhance brand visibility.
  • Monitor sales performance and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers and marketing executives.
  • Ensure continuous learning and development of the team to enhance marketing capabilities.

Regulatory & Compliance:

  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and ethical guidelines.
  • Liaise with medical, legal, and regulatory teams for approvals on marketing communications.

Financial & Budgeting:

  • Manage marketing budgets efficiently to maximize ROI.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective marketing operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Education:

    MBA/PGDM in Marketing or a related field. A background in Life Sciences/Pharmacy is preferred.
  • Experience:

    12+ years in pharmaceutical marketing, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Industry Knowledge:

    Strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing dynamics, product lifecycle management, and competitive landscape.
  • Skills:

    • Strategic thinking and analytical skills
    • Leadership and team management
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Digital marketing and omnichannel marketing expertise
    • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to specialty or chronic therapy segments like Cardio-Diabetes, Neurology, Oncology, or Critical Care.
  • Experience in launching new pharmaceutical products and driving market penetration strategies.
