Overview

The Private 5GEngineering Lead will be responsible for leading the design, development,deployment, and optimization of private 5G network solutions for enterprise andindustrial customers. This role requires deep technical expertise in 5Gtechnology, network architecture, radio access network (RAN) and core networkcomponents, and a strong understanding of industrial use cases such as IoT,automation, and critical communications. The Lead will manage a team ofengineers and work closely with product management, sales, and operations teamsto deliver robust, high-performance private networks.

KeyResponsibilitiesRFPlanning, Radio Design and Radio DeploymentDo theRF Planning based on customer requirement and do the Radio DesignGuidethe team for the Radio deployment and configuration5G Core NetworkDesign & DeploymentPossessprior experience in Designing and Deploying private 5G networks from concept tooperational status.Design,deploy, and optimize crucial 5G Core Network Functions (5GC) including:Access and Mobility Management Function(AMF)Session Management Function (SMF)User Plane Function (UPF)Authentication Server Function (AUSF)Unified Data Management (UDM)Policy Control Function (PCF)Network Repository Function (NRF)Network Slice Selection Function (NSSF)Providesubject matter expertise on 3GPP Release 15/16/17 standards and seamlessintegration with SA/NSA architectures.Definethe end-to-end 5G Core architecture covering mobility management, sessionmanagement, and service orchestration.Architecture& System IntegrationLeadthe integration of the 5GC with the Radio Access Network (gNB/small cells), IPtransport infrastructure, and Edge/Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) platformsand Device ecosystemsEnsureService-Based Architecture (SBA) security using industry best practices,including TLS, OAuth2, API security, and robust Network Exposure Function (NEF)policies.Performance& OptimizationTroubleshootand optimize control plane and user plane traffic, meticulously monitoring keyperformance indicators (KPIs) such as latency, throughput, and QoS/QoE.Supportdesign, deployment, and SLA enforcement across various industrial andenterprise use cases.Conductcapacity planning, performance optimization, and resiliency testing for all 5GCfunctions.Cloud-NativeCollaborateon cloud-native deployments utilizing industry platforms like Kubernetes,Docker, OpenShift, and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) infrastructure.VendorManagementPerformvendor evaluations and lead interoperability testing with multi-vendorcloud-native 5G core solutions (VNFs/CNFs).Documentation& LeadershipDocumentarchitecture designs, detailed deployment guidelines, and provide effectiveknowledge transfer materials for operations teams.RequiredQualifications

Education

Bachelor s or master s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science,Telecommunications, or a related field.Minimumof 13+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications, specifically on 5Gnetwork architecture and deployment.

Experience

Proven track record in designing, deploying, and optimizing private 5G/LTEnetworks for Enterprise customersTechnicalDepth: Deep, hands-on expertise with all 5G Core network functions (AMF, SMF,UPF, etc.) and 5G RAN

Standards

Expert-level knowledge of 3GPP standards (Rel 15, 16, 17).CloudSkills: Strong proficiency in cloud-native deployment using containerization(Kubernetes, Docker) and orchestration tools.

Networking

Solid understanding of IP networking, transport layer security, andService-Based Architecture (SBA) security protocols.Goodunderstanding of cyber security requirements of an enterprise network, designand deploy the network comply to the requirementsSoftSkills: Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
