Deputy Environmental Manager - Semiconductor Construction Project (Gujarat, India)

About the role

Join a world-class semiconductor construction project in Gujarat. We are looking for experienced environmental professionals to lead and support site-wide environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and project EHS coordination. Candidates with Singapore construction safety experience are welcome. Hindi-speaking preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of environmental plans, procedures, and compliance with local and international regulations.
• Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, pollution control, and site cleanliness.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies for audits and inspections.
• Lead or support environmental reporting and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the Safety Team to drive integrated EHS strategies across the project.
• Supervise and guide ECOs and site personnel on environmental control practices.
• Conduct site walkdowns and recommend improvements to environmental risk areas.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Prior experience as Environmental Manager or Deputy on large-scale construction projects.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction environmental and safety standards is an advantage.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Hindi preferred to support site coordination.
• Willing to be based in Gujarat, India for the project duration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹95,000.00 per month

Supplemental Pay:
