Depot Manager

You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all warehouse activities in two or more locations to ensure efficient processes and maximize productivity. Your duties will include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring goods" quality, and preparing relevant documentation. Your daily tasks will involve planning, organizing, supervising, and participating in warehouse operations such as receipt, storage, safety, and distribution of supplies. You will also be responsible for training, supervising, and evaluating warehouse employees, assigning workloads, routing orders, scheduling deliveries, and overseeing the loading of vehicles. Additionally, you will prepare and maintain various records, logs, and reports, maintain inventory, and assist in establishing warehouse standards and procedures. You will have regular contact with customers and the sales team to ensure smooth operations. To qualify for this role, a degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field is preferred, along with previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar management position. You should have a strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management, time management skills, delegation abilities, excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software, problem-solving skills, and willingness to work from alternate locations when required are essential. Your key performance indicators will include organizing safe and efficient goods receipt, storage, and dispatch, on-time delivery, order execution, inventory management, route planning, customer service, and continuous improvement in operations. You will also be responsible for ensuring the achievement of sales targets, safety audit compliance, optimal inventory management, reduction of transit times, cost-effective freight delivery, and timely reporting to management. Implementing 5S processes and focusing on logistics and transportation innovations will be crucial for the success of this role.,
