Job Summary:

Delivery Manager Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage end-to-end software delivery through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) adopting Agile or Waterfall methodologies as required.
• Lead cross-functional, geographically distributed teams across multiple concurrent projects.
• Define and manage project scope, schedule, cost, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with presales teams in proposal preparation, SOW creation, effort & cost estimation.
• Collaborate with solution architects, technical leads, development & QA teams, and business stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives.
• Guide Agile development teams, lead sprint ceremonies, and drive continuous delivery best practices.
• Ensure delivery excellence by aligning with internal quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Manage customer relationships and act as a primary point of contact for delivery communication.
• Provide timely and transparent status updates to customers and internal leadership teams.
• Report project status, risks, and issues to senior leadership and customer stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks and issues proactively.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and positive team environment.
• Effective completion of the yearly appraisal process for team.
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement in delivery processes.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Translate business needs into technical strategies that leverage AI models, cloud-native architectures, and data-driven solutions.
• Capacity, utilisation management and forecasting for the delivery team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 12 to 15 years of experience in delivery and project management within the IT services or product development domain.
• Proven experience managing large-scale development projects with distributed teams across multiple geographies.
• Proven experience managing multi-year application support/maintenance projects including 24x7 support, production incident management, and minor enhancements.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and traditional SDLC practices.
• Preferred knowledge with modern AI tools and platforms (e.g., ML frameworks, LLMs, data pipelines).
• Skills in leading cloud-based projects on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals, SOWs, and cost estimates.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work with C-level executives, delivery heads, and engineers.
• Proficiency in risk management, resource planning, and quality assurance practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree is a plus).
• Product management experience is added advantage.

Preferred Certifications and Other Qualifications:

• PMP, PRINCE2, CSM or SAFe Agilist is a plus.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect) is a plus.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced evolving environment.
• High attention to detail, with a commitment to quality, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
