Engineering Senior Manager Complaints

This role requires a strong blend of hands-on technical depth, people leadership, and strategic thinking. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable, resilient, and customer-centric platforms using a modern and diverse technology stack, while ensuring adherence to enterprise engineering standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and inspire high-performing engineering teams while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
  
• Provide technical leadership across solution design, architecture, and delivery in alignment with group engineering practices and standards.
  
• Contribute to technology strategy, quarterly planning, backlog prioritization, and delivery roadmap definition.
  
• Drive operational excellence for mission-critical, customer-facing production services with complex dependencies and multiple stakeholders.
  
• Coach and mentor engineers, strengthening engineering management practices and raising the bar across the organization.
  
• Promote consistent engineering standards, ways of working, and best practices across squads.
  
• Establish and advocate new ways of working, including adoption of modern architectures and technology approaches.
  
• Encourage constructive challenge, calculated risk-taking, and innovation within a psychologically safe and inclusive environment.
  
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture, security, and data teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
  

Technical & Domain Expertise

• Strong experience managing engineers building

  cloud-native, scalable platforms

  in distributed and low-latency environments.
• Expertise in

  API design, specification, registration, and tooling

  (OpenAPI, Kong).
• Hands-on experience with

  C#, .NET Framework/Core

  (essential); experience with

  SOAP/REST APIs

  , microservices, and containerization.
• Exposure to

  Node.js, Python, and scripting

  is advantageous.
• Proven experience with

  Agile methodologies

  and modern engineering delivery practices.
• Strong background in

  cloud migrations and deployments

  , with preference for

  Azure Cloud

  and

  Power Platform

• Experience with

  AI technologies

  , particularly in tooling, automation, and platform enhancement.
• Expertise in

  data engineering

  , including real-time and near real-time data pipelines, data lakes, transformations, aggregations, and API exposure.
• CI/CD experience with

  (GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with

  DevOps-managed environments

  and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, and PagerDuty.
• Strong understanding of

  test automation

  (unit, integration, acceptance, performance testing for APIs).
• Solid security knowledge, including

  defence-in-depth

  , identity management, encryption, and public cloud security practices.
• Experience with

  relational databases

  (Postgres, Oracle),

• 15+ years of overall experience, with significant tenure as a

  hands-on engineering manager

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence across the organization.
  
• Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution in complex enterprise environments.
  

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Engineering (Computer Science / Information Technology)

  or a related discipline.
