Location: Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Noida, Ahmedabad Experience: 6 - 9 Years Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days Overview We are seeking a Liferay Senior Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development, enhancement, and support of our Liferay-based digital platforms, including our corporate website and customer-facing applications. This role will be key in optimizing performance, ensuring high availability, and delivering a seamless user experience. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, offering opportunities for technical growth and leadership. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance web applications using the Liferay DXP platform. Collaborate with UI/UX designers and back-end developers to implement highly responsive and user-friendly features. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks. Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Maintain and upgrade the Liferay environment, ensuring stability and scalability. Optimize application performance and conduct periodic code reviews. Ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and documentation practices. Support DevOps practices and participate in CI/CD pipeline enhancements. Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team. Stay updated with Liferay releases and suggest ways to incorporate new features. Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in Liferay portal development and support . In-depth knowledge of Liferay DXP , portlet development , themes , hooks , and extension environments . Strong front-end development skills in HTML , CSS , JavaScript , and JSP . Proficient in backend integration and RESTful web services. Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL , Oracle ) and SQL. Familiar with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Experience with Git or other version control systems. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Liferay certification (e.g., Liferay Developer Certification). Knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate . Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Understanding of accessibility standards and SEO best practices.
