Location: Offshore (Remote)
Project Team Location: Jersey City, NJ (US EST)
Working Hours: Must ensure partial overlap with EST hours (schedule to be finalized with project team)
Job Summary
We are seeking an Offshore Database Developer to support a US-based project team. The consultant will work remotely but must be flexible to ensure collaboration with the onshore team during EST working hours.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and packages.
• Perform database migrations, data modeling, and schema updates as required.
• Support ETL processes, reporting, and data integration activities.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues.
• Collaborate with the onshore team on development, testing, and production support.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide timely status updates.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Strong expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, triggers, views, and performance tuning.
• Experience in database migrations and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux shell scripting for automation.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) to coordinate with the onshore team.
Preferred Skills
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Exposure to cloud databases (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Reports, etc.).
