Role Overview

A Data Stock Market Analyst uses data analytics, statistical models, and market research to analyse stocks, forecast trends, and provide actionable investment insights. The role combines technical data skills with financial market knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyse market datasets (price, volume, fundamentals, sector trends).
• Build dashboards and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly market performance.
• Use statistical models and forecasting techniques to predict stock movements.
• Perform both

  technical analysis

  (charts, indicators) and

  fundamental analysis

  .
• Identify market patterns using data tools such as Python, SQL, and Excel.
• Track global indices, economic indicators, and financial news.
• Prepare valuation models and investment recommendations.
• Work with investment teams to support trading strategies.
• Automate data extraction from APIs (NSE, BSE, Yahoo Finance, etc.).

Required Skills

• Proficient in XTS- multi asset trading platform.
• Strong knowledge of stock markets and financial instruments.
• Data analysis skills:

  Python, Pandas, NumPy, SQL, Excel

  .
• Experience with data visualization tools:

  Power BI / Tableau

  .
• Knowledge of machine learning models (basic to intermediate).
• Proficiency in

  charting platforms

  : Trading View, Meta Stock, etc.
• Ability to interpret market news and economic indicators.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science or Commerce

  .
• Preferable certifications:
• NISM (Equity Derivatives / Research Analyst)
• Data analytics certifications (Google Data Analytics, etc.)
• CFA Level 1 (added advantage)
• 5+ years of experience in market analysis, data analytics, or financial modelling.
