Data Scientist – AI Solutions for Food & Beverage

About the Role:

You’ll be stepping into a high-impact role previously held by one of our top performers. From day one, you’ll work closely with the delivery lead, collaborate with clients, and ship production-ready models that drive business outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

• Work on applied AI use cases across demand forecasting, inventory optimization, production planning, quality control, and more.
• Build and deploy models using Python, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Support the development of Datadivr accelerators like

  InventoryIQ

  ,

  PlaceRight

  , and custom AI agents.
• Translate business requirements into data problems and propose actionable, explainable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with delivery leads, product managers, and clients—often sitting in on client calls and presenting your work.
• Participate in weekly sprint reviews, client feedback loops, and team retrospectives.

Required Skills:

• 2–3 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, ideally in a consulting company.
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with data science libraries.
• Experience with at least one deployment framework (e.g. Streamlit, FastAPI, Flask).
• Comfortable with SQL and data wrangling for messy, semi-structured data.
• Ability to break down and explain ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience in building and deploying data/ML pipelines on Azure, AWS, or on-premise environments.
  

Bonus If You Have:

• Experience with computer vision projects (e.g. defect detection, OCR, object recognition).
• Familiarity with MLOps tools like MLflow, DVC, or Airflow.
• Familiarity with Gen AI, LLM’s, prompt engineering, embeddings & RAG.
• Worked in F&B, manufacturing, or supply chain domains.

What Success Looks Like in 90 Days:

• Complete onboarding and shadow 2 ongoing client engagements.
• Take full ownership of 1 AI use case (build, ship, support).
• Proactively contribute ideas to strengthen our accelerators (VisionPro, etc).
• Build trust with clients and peers by communicating clearly and delivering consistently.
