Company is a rapidly growing, private equity backed SaaS product company and provides cloud-based solutions. : We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer (Tableau Analytics) to design, build, and maintain a robust data platform that enables scalable analytics solutions. This role requires deep expertise in data engineering, analytics modeling, and dash boarding, with a strong focus on Tableau, Power BI, and SQL-based data warehouses like Snowflake. You will be responsible for creating data pipelines, modeling datasets, and optimizing analytics workflows to empower business teams with actionable insights.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage using Snowflake and dbt.
- Design, optimize, and maintain data models that support Tableau and Power BI analytics.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI, ensuring business stakeholders can make data-driven decisions.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to define data requirements and implement solutions that drive business impact.
- Improve data quality, governance, and lineage by implementing best practices in data orchestration, testing, and monitoring.
- Optimize SQL queries and performance for analytical workloads across relational and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB.
- Ensure best practices in version control, CI/CD, and automation for data workflows.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new data engineering tools and technologies to enhance platform scalability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to create self-serve data products that improve accessibility to insights.
Requirements
Skills & Experience
- Notice period must be 1 month or less than this.
- 6-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Analytics Engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Math, Economics, or a related field.
- Expertise in SQL-based data warehouses like Snowflake or similar platforms.
- Strong experience in data modeling using dbt (data build tool).
- Hands-on experience with Tableau and Power BI, including building dashboards, reports, and analytics-ready datasets.
- Experience in data engineering workflows, including ETL/ELT, data ingestion, transformation, and publishing.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries across relational (Postgres, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cosmos DB) databases.
- Familiarity with data governance, lineage, orchestration, and quality monitoring.
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD workflows, and automated testing.
- A growth mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
