Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Data Governance Specialist

with strong expertise in

data lineage, data quality, and regulatory reporting

within the

Private Equity or Capital Markets

domain. The ideal candidate will ensure data accuracy, compliance, and transparency across reporting processes. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and manage Data Governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
Define and maintain data lineage for critical business processes, ensuring traceability and transparency.
Drive data quality initiatives, including establishing KPIs, monitoring, and remediation processes.
Partner with business and technology teams to support regulatory reporting (required for at least two of the four key reports).
Collaborate with stakeholders in Private Equity / Capital Markets to align data management with business needs.
Work closely with compliance, operations, and technology teams to ensure accurate and timely regulatory submissions.
Communicate complex data issues and governance concepts effectively with senior stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in Data Governance, Data Lineage, and Data Quality.
Strong knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
Hands-on experience in Private Equity or Capital Markets environment.
Regulatory reporting experience (mandatory in at least two of four reporting areas).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a hybrid model with 3 days per week in the Mumbai office.
