Primary job title:

Power BI Data EngineerRole & Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders and analysts to translate BI requirements into clear data products and interactive dashboards.
Ingest, provision, and manage enterprise data in Azure Data Lake (CDL) using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks to produce cleansed, modeled datasets for reporting and analytics.
Develop performant Power BI reports and semantic datasets; author DAX measures and optimize visuals for high concurrency.
Ensure data quality, governance, and security for all deliverables; document data flows, technical designs, and runbooks.
Provide production support—monitor usage, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver long-term fixes and continuous improvements.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

Proven experience building ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Databricks
Power BI report & dataset development with strong DAX proficiency
Advanced SQL for data modelling, transformations, and performance tuning
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake (CDL) and enterprise ingestion patterns
Fluent English (written & verbal) — comfortable interacting with business stakeholders
Demonstrated problem-solving, debugging, and production-support skills for data solutions

Preferred

Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics and CI/CD practices for data pipelines
Experience with DataStage or MicroStrategy
Knowledge of dimensional modelling, data governance frameworks, and Agile delivery
