Data Engineer

who is passionate about building robust data pipelines, handling large-scale datasets, and enabling data-driven decisions that shape the future of video streaming and digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
Work with large-scale datasets in production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data flow and accessibility.
Maintain and troubleshoot data systems with minimal guidance.
Integrate data from multiple sources including relational databases, NoSQL systems, and cloud platforms.
Contribute to video performance insights by analyzing data from CDNs, video analytics platforms, and QoS/QoE metrics.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of hands-on experience in data pipeline development and troubleshooting.
Strong programming and scripting skills with Python.
Advanced SQL knowledge (complex queries, joins, optimization).
Experience with ETL/ELT development using distributed frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL systems (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
Familiarity with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
Practical exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and services such as Glue, EMR, Dataflow, or ADF.

Nice To Have (Good To Have)

Experience with real-time streaming tools like Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
Background in OTT platforms (VoD, live streaming, subscription systems).
Familiarity with video analytics tools (e.g., Matomo) for tracking audience engagement.
Understanding of QoS and QoE metrics (buffering ratio, start-up time, bitrate, playback failures).
Knowledge of CDN log analysis (Akamai, CloudFront, Fastly) for performance monitoring.
