Job Title: Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric Experience: 5–8 Years Location: Kochi Notice Period: Immediate Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric. This role is ideal for professionals with a deep understanding of modern data engineering principles and a track record of building scalable, high-performance data solutions in a cloud-native environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric tools such as Data Factory and Dataflows Gen2 Create and maintain data models, semantic models, and data marts for analytics and reporting Develop SQL-based ETL processes to integrate data from structured and unstructured sources Collaborate with BI developers and analysts to create Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards Implement robust data integration from diverse platforms and sources (on-premise and cloud) Ensure data quality, governance, and integrity with automated validation and error handling Translate business data needs into technical specifications Optimize workflows for performance and cost in cloud-first environments Provide mentorship to junior data engineers Required Skills: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, OneLake) Strong proficiency in Power BI, semantic modeling, and report/dashboard development Expertise in data modeling (star schema, snowflake, normalization/denormalization) Advanced SQL skills including stored procedures and performance tuning Experience integrating data from APIs, flat files, databases, and streaming sources Knowledge of data governance, data lineage, and cataloging in the Microsoft ecosystem Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle large datasets Show more Show less
