Data Engineer

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES·

• Design and implement ETL using AWS Glue, Python, and SQL to ingest, transform, and load data.
• Develop and maintain data lakes and data warehouses leveraging Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift.
• Optimize data storage, performance, and cost efficiency using Redshift Spectrum and query tuning.· Build reusable data ingestion and transformation frameworks following best practices for reusability,scalability, and security]
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, ensure system reliability, and follow AWS Well-Architected andsecurity best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data models, data governance, andsolution design aligned with business goals.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and metadata management across ETL pipelines.
• Liaise with SBU users, Development team, Center of excellence team, Regional Infrastructure team duringexecution of project deliverables.
• Responsible for requirements gathering through design, development, and implementation of thesolution within Data Analytics.
• Document requirements, create functional specifications and prepare wireframes/flowcharts
• Prepare technical user manuals, system configuration documents and provide user training

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS analytics stack AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Step Functions, Athena (good to have).
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
• Strong SQL expertise for complex queries, transformations, and data validation.
• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).
• Good understanding of solution design principles, data architecture, and integration patterns.
• Exposure to data governance, cataloging, and security best practices in AWS environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and areas such as Generative BI and Tableau

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
