A Data Encoder is responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data into computer systems and databases. This role requires a strong attention to detail, as well as a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all data entry tasks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent typing skills, the ability to handle large volumes of data, and a thorough understanding of data management practices.


  • Accurately input data into computer systems and databases, ensuring the integrity of the information.
  • Verify and ensure that all data entries are correct and complete before finalizing submissions.
  • Perform thorough cross-checking of data against source documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in data entries promptly.
  • Implement procedures to minimize errors in data entry, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
  • Monitor data entry processes to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve any data-related inquiries or issues.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all data entries and related transactions.
  • Ensure documentation is readily available for audit purposes and management review.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to data entry and management.
  • Engage in cross-training to support workload balance and adapt to shifting demands.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.


Qualification and requirements:

  • Education: a degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or Information Technology is a plus.
  • Experience in data entry, data management, or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent typing and data entry skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with data processing and office software.
  • Amenable to changes in schedule, including availability for day shifts, mid shifts, and overnight shifts if required


Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

  • Experience in data entry, data management, or a similar role
  • Excellent typing and data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Familiarity with data processing and office software (e.g., Excel, database tools)
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including day, mid, and overnight shifts if required, including weekend and PH Holiday shifts
