Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Data Center Operations Architect with deep hands-on expertise in VMware, OpenStack, Server & Network Administration, and enterprise infrastructure operations. The role involves architecting scalable, secure, and highly available DC environments while driving modernization, automation, and operational excellence across compute, storage, and network layers.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and manage enterprise virtualized environments using VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, and Horizon.
Design and implement Private Cloud / IaaS platforms using OpenStack, including compute, storage (Cinder/Swift), and Neutron networking.
Lead end-to-end data center operations including capacity planning, monitoring, patching, and lifecycle management.
Oversee server administration (Linux/Unix/Windows), OS hardening, backup/DR strategy, and performance optimization.
Architect network components—LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, firewalling, load balancers, VPNs, switches, and fabric connectivity.
Develop automation for provisioning, monitoring, and incident remediation using Ansible/Python/Shell.
Ensure high availability and resiliency across DC workloads through clustering, failover design, and redundancy strategies.
Drive ITIL-based processes such as problem management, change management, root cause analysis, and service continuity.
Prepare HLD/LLD, runbooks, infra topology diagrams, and operational standards documentation.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.
Required Skills & Experience
8–12+ years in data center operations, virtualization, and infrastructure architecture.
Deep hands-on experience with VMware stack (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX).
Strong knowledge of OpenStack architecture and operations.
Proficiency in system administration, networking concepts, and enterprise DC operations.
Experience in automation using Ansible, Python, PowerShell/Shell scripting.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident/problem management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
VMware certifications (VCP/VCAP), OpenStack certifications, or RHCE.
Experience with hybrid cloud integration (AWS Outposts, Azure Stack).
