Customer Support Engineer – Industrial Projects

Location: Chennai

Experience: 4–6 Years

Job Summary

Varicon is looking for a Customer Support Engineer to manage post-order customer coordination, technical support, and relationship management for our industrial and energy projects. The role requires a strong blend of engineering knowledge, customer communication, and project support skills.

Key Responsibilities

·        Act as the single point of contact for customers after order confirmation

·        Coordinate with engineering, project, service, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution

·        Handle technical queries, drawings, documentation, and clarifications from customers

·        Support installation, commissioning, and after-sales service activities

·        Track project milestones, delivery schedules, and service commitments

·        Coordinate AMC, service visits, breakdown support, and spares requirements

·        Prepare and share service reports, MOMs, and customer communications

·        Maintain strong long-term customer relationships and satisfaction

·        Identify opportunities for repeat business, AMC renewals, and spares sales

Required Skills & Qualifications

·        B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation

·        4–6 years of experience in industrial equipment, EPC, oil & gas, energy, or manufacturing

·        Strong understanding of industrial systems, skids, compressors, dryers, filters, or process equipment

·        Excellent communication and coordination skills

·        Ability to interface confidently with clients, consultants, and internal teams

·        Good working knowledge of MS Excel, email communication, and documentation

·        Willingness to travel to customer sites when required

·        Preferred Experience (Added Advantage)

·        Exposure to after-sales support, AMC management, or service coordination

·        Experience in CGD, LNG, Hydrogen, Gas systems, or EPC projects

·        Customer-facing role in B2B engineering companies
