Job Description

Position Summary:
A Theatre Worker supports the daily operations of a cinema or live-performance theatre. This role involves assisting guests, ensuring smooth show operations, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities: Customer Service

  • Greet guests and provide helpful, friendly assistance.
  • Answer questions about showtimes, seating, theatre policies, and facilities.
  • Resolve customer concerns or direct them to a supervisor when needed.
  • Ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Ticketing & Admissions

  • Operate ticketing systems to sell tickets, passes, or concessions.
  • Scan tickets and manage audience entry efficiently.
  • Inform guests about upcoming shows, promotions, and theatre rules.

Concessions

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with safety standards.
  • Maintain inventory and restock items as needed.
  • Handle cash or electronic payments accurately.

Ushering & Theatre Operations

  • Guide guests to their seats and ensure accessibility needs are met.
  • Monitor auditoriums during screenings or performances to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Assist with crowd control before, during, and after shows.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Maintain cleanliness in auditoriums, lobbies, restrooms, and concession areas.
  • Perform post-show theatre checks and prepare auditoriums for the next audience.
  • Report maintenance issues to management.

Team Collaboration

  • Work cooperatively with managers and teammates to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in regular training and stay informed about theatre policies and safety procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform light physical tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality.
  • Interest in films, performing arts, or entertainment.
  • 12th/Degree/Diploma

Salary: Rs. 18,000/-
