Lead a high-performing engineering team, champion technical excellence, and drive architectural decisions that shape our technology landscape. Core Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-grade solutions using microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design (DDD) principles ensuring the scalability, resilience, and performance.
- Lead full-stack development with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, and Kotlin microservices
- Design and implement scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs serving millions of transactions with optimal performance and security
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for rapid, reliable, and repeatable deployments
- Deploy scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS leveraging ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, and implement IaC using Terraform or AWS CDK
- In depth understanding of event-driven systems using Kafka, AWS SQS, SNS with comprehensive messaging patterns
- Good understanding of test automation frameworks for UI (Playwright, Selenium) and API testing
- Lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams fostering technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and UX Designers to refine requirements and acceptance criteria
- Serve as technical thought leader within engineering guilds, conducting code reviews and architectural design sessions Required Skills & Expertise Architecture & Design
- Demonstrated ability to design complex distributed systems with deep understanding of microservices patterns, event-driven architecture, DDD and API design patterns (RESTful, GraphQL, gRPC)
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and authentication and authorization patterns and security protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML) Technical Proficiency
- Expert-level in Java (Java 11+) with Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security) and JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+, async patterns)
- Strong hands-on experience with React (Hooks, Context API) and Modern frontend practices
- Proven experience building Kotlin based microservices using Spring Boot with coroutines
- Solid experience with Node.js/Express for scalable backend services
- Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic, SumoLogic or Splunk
- Extensive AWS experience with compute (ECS, EKS, Lambda), databases (RDS, DynamoDB), networking (VPC, API Gateway), and security (IAM, KMS)
- Comprehensive database knowledge for SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) with expert-level SQL proficiency
- In-depth Kafka experience including stream processing, schema registry, and partition strategies
- Solid understanding in CI/CD pipeline design with automated testing, security scanning, and deployment strategies
- Expertise in application containerization (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration (ECS, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation), and test automation (Jest, Playwright, JUnit, Mockito)
