Job Description

The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing and managing cost expenditures and financial data to help guide the organizations financial decisions. This role involves development of cost accounting systems, preparing cost reports, maintaining accurate cost records, and providing insights into cost-effective measures.

Good knowledge in Product Costing / Product Profitability Analysis.
Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Analyze sales price movements, product mix analysis, product cost variances, and production order variances (Standard vs Actuals).
Perform Standard Cost Roll-up on a monthly basis and handle month-end closing activities in SAP.
Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and product/service profitability.
Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.
Provide audit support for all inventory and costing-related activities.
Analyze and recommend costs and cost-saving measures.
Roll out yearly/monthly activity rates for standard costs.

Educational Background:

Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CMA (Inter/Final) certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in cost accounting or a related financial role.

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Advanced Excel skills, including ability to create complex formulas and financial models.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

High level of integrity and professionalism.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
