Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications using Core Java.
Write efficient, scalable, and robust code following best practices and coding standards.
Implement features related to multithreading, concurrency, collections, and JVM optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Develop and enhance RESTful services and backend components.
Perform unit testing using JUnit/Mockito to ensure code quality.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application performance issues.
Work with SQL databases for data design, queries, and optimization.
Use version control systems (Git) and follow Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP concepts, Collections framework, Streams & Lambdas.
Hands-on experience with multithreading, concurrency, and synchronization mechanisms.
Good understanding of JVM internals (garbage collection, memory management).
Experience working with REST APIs and backend service development.
Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle.
Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Mockito).
Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot (even though core-focused).
Familiarity with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
