We are a startup with high ambitions, looking for a passionate culinary leader to own the Yolklabs kitchen. The Role: We are seeking a creative and skilled Head Chef to lead the culinary heart of Yolklabs. This is a hands-on role for a chef who is not only an expert in execution but also has a genuine passion for menu innovation, particularly with eggs as the hero ingredient. You will be responsible for the entire culinary operation of the brand, ensuring every dish that leaves our kitchen meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation, consistent with the P-Plates promise. Key Responsibilities: Menu Development & Innovation: Design, test, and perfect a focused menu of premium egg dishes, including omelettes, scrambled eggs, egg bowls, salads, and sandwiches. Continuously innovate by developing new recipes and seasonal specials to keep the menu exciting and ahead of market trends. Standardize all recipes to ensure consistency in taste and portion size for every order. Culinary Execution & Quality Control: Lead and participate in the daily preparation and cooking of all menu items with precision and speed. Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures, conducting regular taste and presentation checks. Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and handled in compliance with FSSAI regulations and our internal hygiene standards. Kitchen & Operations Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including sourcing high-quality ingredients, particularly premium-grade eggs and fresh produce. Oversee stock control, minimize wastage through effective inventory management, and maintain accurate records. Control food costs by adhering to standardized recipes and portioning, without compromising on quality. Ensure the kitchen is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe manner at all times. Team & Collaboration: Train and mentor any junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. Collaborate directly with the P-Plates management on menu engineering, costing, and strategy to drive profitability and growth. Qualifications & Skills: Required: Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) as a Chef in a professional kitchen (café, QSR, or cloud kitchen environment is highly preferred). Demonstrable expertise in Continental cuisine with a specialized skill set and passion for preparing a wide variety of egg dishes. Strong understanding of food costing, inventory management, and procurement. In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation (FSSAI) standards. A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail in flavour profiling and food presentation. Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment. Preferred: Formal culinary degree or diploma. Prior experience working within a cloud kitchen model. Knowledge of local suppliers and vendors in the Gurugram/NCR region.
