Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a data-driven CRO & Shopify Specialist to analyze user journeys, identify conversion barriers, and directly implement improvements on our Shopify stores. This role is perfect for someone who can combine analytical thinking, UX/UI insights, and Shopify development skills to help us get better returns from paid ads and organic traffic.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conversion Research & Analysis
  • Analyze store analytics (GA4, Shopify analytics, Hotjar, Clarity, etc.) to identify drop-off points and friction.
  • Run heuristic audits, competitor benchmarks, and funnel deep dives to spot conversion opportunities.
  • Create hypotheses for A/B or multivariate testing.
  • Implementation & Optimization
  • Make direct changes on Shopify (themes, templates, apps, custom code tweaks).
  • Optimize PDPs (product pages), PLPs (collection pages), cart & checkout flows.
  • Set up & manage A/B tests using tools like Google Optimize (if still supported), Convert, or Shopify apps.
  • Improve mobile responsiveness, speed, and UI/UX elements.
  • Landing Pages & Funnels
  • Build or update high-converting landing pages for ad campaigns.
  • Integrate upsell & cross-sell apps and implement trust signals, urgency, and social proof.
  • Data & Reporting
  • Track and report on key metrics: CVR, AOV, bounce rate, funnel drop-off.
  • Collaborate with media buying & creative teams to ensure ad–landing page alignment.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Shopify theme customization (Liquid, HTML/CSS, basic JS).
  • Practical knowledge of CRO frameworks (LIFT, PIE, ICE, heuristic analysis).
  • Experience with heatmaps, session recordings, and analytics tools.
  • Understanding of e-commerce UX best practices and buyer psychology.
  • Hands-on experience creating or optimizing landing pages & product pages.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing tools and data-driven decision making.
  • Bonus: experience with Shopify apps like ReConvert, Zipify, PageFly, GemPages.

Ideal Background

  • 2–4 years in e-commerce optimization, preferably with Shopify brands.
  • Has worked closely with paid media teams or understands ad traffic behavior.
  • Portfolio or examples of measurable improvements (conversion lifts, revenue impact).

  • Proactive & experiment-driven — doesn’t wait for tasks, suggests new tests.
