Job Description

experienced Controller-Level Virtual Accountant


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage

    general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

    functions
  • Prepare and review

    monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Perform

    budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Ensure

    compliance with GAAP

    and other accounting regulations
  • Support

    financial audits

    and liaise with external auditors
  • Implement

    process improvements and system integrations

    in collaboration with leadership
  • Provide

    accurate financial reporting

    to management for decision-making
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Accounting, Finance, or related field

    (CPA/CMA preferred)

  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience

    , with controller or senior accountant exposure
  • Strong knowledge of

    GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Proficiency with

    accounting software

    (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar)
  • Prior experience in

    logistics, trucking, or supply chain

    is an advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and deadline management skills
