Contracts Engineer

Role Overview: As a Buyer in the Contracts Engineer variant, your main responsibility is to support the end-to-end contract lifecycle execution by understanding requirements, identifying pre-qualified vendors, tender preparation, inviting bids, and conducting technical & commercial negotiations in line with company standards. Key Responsibilities: - Assist Category / Contract Manager in sourcing critical contracts by selecting and evaluating vendors based on package briefs and planning timelines - Support pre-qualification of vendors by specifying sourcing events and conducting technical validation - Develop Internal Cost Estimates and float RFQ via digital RFX systems - Study offers from vendors, prepare comparative statements, and participate in commercial negotiation meetings - Ensure optimal usage of technological tools like e-auction and reverse auction to improve efficiency - Set up Kick-Off Meetings with stakeholders and vendors for post-award management - Attend periodic progress review meetings and participate in vendor site visits to ensure compliance with contractual terms - Implement change management processes effectively and review received claims for timely settlement - Engage with vendors regularly to share organizational requirements and gather feedback for continuous improvement - Support the Contract Manager in creating the Procurement Strategy and following relevant policies, processes, and procedures Qualification Required: - Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology, Masters in Business Administration (Desirable) - 4 to 6 years of experience in construction, operations, maintenance, or exploration sites - Functional competencies include techno-commercial acumen, cost estimation knowledge, market intelligence, and familiarity with SAP or equivalent platforms - Legal understanding of contractual terms is also essential for this role Company Details: The company operates within the Money, Materials & Compliance value stream under the Procurement & Contracts family.
