Contract Farming Line Supervisor

Farm Operations Management

• Supervise and monitor contract farming operations to ensure adherence to Zorabian Chickens quality, biosecurity, and production standards.
• Conduct regular visits to contract farms in Khopoli to assess poultry health, farm conditions, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure timely delivery of chicks, feed, vaccines, and other inputs to contract farmers as per company schedules.
• Monitor flock performance, including growth rates, feed conversion ratios (FCR), and mortality rates, and provide actionable recommendations to farmers.

Farmer Coordination and Training

• Act as the primary point of contact between Zorabian Chicken and contract farmers in Khopoli, Raigad, Pune, Talegoan, Pen and Pali Area.
• Train and guide farmers on best practices for poultry rearing, biosecurity protocols, and waste management.
• Resolve farmer queries and provide technical support to optimize farm productivity and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of farm inspections, production data, and compliance reports.

Desired profile of the candidate:

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc.) with a specialization in Poultry Science
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in poultry farming, preferably in a supervisory or contract farming role.
• Strong knowledge of poultry rearing practices, biosecurity measures, and flock management.
• Understanding of feed formulations, vaccination schedules, and poultry health management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with farmers and internal teams.
• Ability to travel frequently to contract farms in and around Khopoli, Raigad, Pune, Talegoan, Pen and Pali Area.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, data entry).
• Valid Two-wheeler license (preferred for mobility in Khopoli, Raigad, Pune, Talegoan, Pen and Pali Area.).

Education qualification:

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc.) with a specialization in Poultry Science.
