Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Continental Chef based in Port Blair. The Continental Chef will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality continental cuisine, designing creative menus, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently, maintaining hygiene standards, and managing the culinary team. The role also involves sourcing fresh ingredients, monitoring food inventory, and adhering to food safety standards. Collaboration with other chefs and departments will be essential to create exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of continental cuisine, including cooking techniques, presentation, and recipe development
• Experience in menu planning, food preparation, and portion control
• Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
• Proficiency in time management and working in high-pressure kitchen environments
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
• Culinary degree or formal training in culinary arts is preferred; relevant professional certifications are an advantage
• Previous experience in a continental kitchen or fine dining establishment is highly valued
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required
