Content Production Manager (Kids Content | Ages 2 to 8)

About the Role

This role owns the complete kids content production pipeline. You will lead writers, voice artists, music teams, shoots, and editors to deliver high-quality videos for children aged 2 to 8. You need a deep understanding of child psychology, storytelling, and early learning, along with strong production discipline. Your job is simple. Build a predictable, high-output content machine that produces engaging, age-safe videos at scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Creative and Team Leadership

• Lead scriptwriters, voice artists, music creators, videographers, and editors.
• Assign tasks, manage output, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Drive brainstorming and maintain creative clarity across the team.

2. Content Strategy and Planning

• Build a structured content roadmap for ages 2 to 8.
• Research trends, learning patterns, and engagement models.
• Ensure content aligns with brand goals and educational value.

3. Script Review and Story Quality

• Review scripts for relevance, clarity, age suitability, and learning outcomes.
• Guide writers on storytelling flow, characters, and structure.
• Approve scripts before moving to production.

4. Audio Production Oversight

• Supervise voice-over sessions and ensure tone consistency.
• Coordinate with music teams on background scores, rhymes, and sound effects.
• Approve final audio tracks.

5. Shoot Planning and Execution

• Plan and manage shoots with child or adult performers.
• Prepare storyboards, shot lists, and production schedules.

• Ensure safe, smooth, and controlled shoot environments.

6. Full Production Ownership

• Manage the entire pipeline from idea to final output.
• Work with editors to deliver engaging and high quality videos.
• Maintain consistent publishing timelines.

7. Quality and Compliance

• Ensure content is age safe, culturally appropriate, and educationally aligned.
• Follow COPPA and child content guidelines.
• Maintain strict creative, ethical, and safety standards.

8. Reporting and Documentation

• Track performance and suggest improvements.
• Maintain production budgets, timelines, and reports.
• Present weekly progress to leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3 plus years managing creative or production teams, preferably in kids content.
• Strong understanding of child psychology, storytelling, and early learning.
• Experience in voice recording, music workflows, and video shoots.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with tools like Premiere Pro, After Effects, and audio software.
• Ability to run high volume production with discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in kids YouTube channels, edtech, animation, or preschool brands.

• Background in Early Childhood Education, Media Production, Performing Arts, or Creative Direction.
