Consulting Engineer
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with our clients to architect and implement innovative solutions using the power of graph technology. You will be a trusted advisor, guiding customers through every stage of the project lifecycle—from initial design and planning to successful deployment and go-live.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Deliver: Work with customers to lead and contribute to all phases of Neo4j implementation, ensuring successful project delivery from inception to roll-out.
- Technical Expertise: Act as a technical subject matter expert during short to long-term consulting engagements. You’ll work hands-on with Neo4j products, provide expert advice and guidance, and help prepare solutions for production deployment.
- Solution Architecture: Design and build robust, scalable solutions that meet the required functional and non-functional requirements of our customers’ projects.
- Customer Advocacy: Prepare solution proposals and technical documentation for customer engineering and management teams, helping them understand how Neo4j can address their project goals.
- Training & Enablement: Help train and educate customers, empowering them to effectively use and manage their Neo4j solutions.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Customer Success, to ensure a unified and exceptional client experience.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience designing and developing enterprise-class applications, with a focus on data analytics and data-driven solutions.
- Database Knowledge: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with database technologies and data modeling concepts. Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, TigerGraph, JanusGraph) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Competence and hands-on experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, GO, or C#.
- Architectural Knowledge: Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations.
- Deployment Experience: Hands-on experience with deployment software on major platforms such as Linux, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication in English, strong active listening skills, and the confidence to present in a customer setting.
- Problem-Solving: A passion for solving technical problems independently and collaboratively, with a keen interest in learning new technologies as needed.
- Autonomy: The ability to work independently, self-directed, and remotely within a cross-functional organization.
Bonus Points
- Experience in a consulting or professional services capacity.
- Experience with other database technologies such as Couchbase, MongoDB, Marklogic, or Teradata.
- Familiarity with data science-related projects and packages (e.g., SciKit-Learn, Keras, TensorFlow).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Industry vertical experience in Government, Financial Services, Retail, or Telco.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% when clients prefer in-person meetings.
