About The Position
The Consultant – CSR and Government will support the design, implementation, and monitoring of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, while simultaneously building and managing strategic relationships with government stakeholders. The role requires a blend of field experience, policy understanding, and the ability to align corporate and government priorities with community needs.
Responsibilities
- CSR Strategy & Program Design
- Work with corporates to co-create impactful CSR strategies aligned with business objectives and national development priorities.
- Conduct community needs assessments and baseline studies to inform project design.
- Develop concept notes, proposals, and impact frameworks for CSR initiatives.
- Project Management & Implementation
- Coordinate end-to-end project implementation with NGOs, vendors, and field teams.
- Track progress through detailed MIS and monitoring dashboards.
- Ensure quality delivery, budget compliance, and timely reporting.
- Government Liaison & Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify and build relationships with key government departments (state, district, or national level) relevant to CSR focus areas.
- Facilitate MoUs, joint initiatives, or convergence models between corporates and government bodies.
- Represent the organization in government forums, policy roundtables, or district/state review meetings.
- Research, Documentation & Compliance
- Conduct policy research, CSR law updates, and government scheme mapping.
- Prepare knowledge products such as case studies, whitepapers, and best-practice documentation.
- Ensure compliance with CSR regulations (Section 135, Schedule VII, etc.) and internal donor reporting norms.
- Relationship Management
- Liaise with CSR heads, corporate foundations, and government officers to maintain strong working relationships.
- Coordinate donor visits, field assessments, and stakeholder meetings.
Mandatory Qualification And Experience
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Public Policy, Social Work, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Proven experience in CSR implementation and/or working with government stakeholders.
- Strong project management, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Understanding of CSR laws, government schemes, and the socio-political ecosystem.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills in Marathi and English.
- Willingness to travel for field assessments, meetings, and stakeholder engagement.
