As a member of the Deal Advisory & Strategy team at KGS, KPMG's global delivery center, your role will involve enhancing innovation, building scalability, and improving profitability globally. The team, comprising over 900 professionals based in Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Bangalore, provides solutions to KPMG member firms worldwide. Your primary focus will be on Corporate Finance - Valuation, working on projects related to the valuation of preference shares, employee stock options, and other equity-based instruments for tax and financial reporting purposes. Key Responsibilities: - Independently execute projects involving valuation of financial instruments using models such as binomial lattice and Black-Scholes models - Review capitalization tables, agreements, and articles of incorporation for financial modeling purposes - Assist in valuation engagements including business valuations, goodwill and asset impairment analyses, and audit reviews - Conduct financial and operational benchmarking - Structure and write valuation reports and memos - Review the work of team members and guide them - Build professional relationships with onshore teams Qualifications Required: - Qualifications: CA / CFA / MBA (Specialization in Finance & Investment Management) - Total Experience: 3 to 5 years in Corporate Finance or valuation roles - Strong knowledge of financial statements, ratios, and capital markets - Coursework or knowledge of Matlab, R, STATA, SAS, VBA, SQL will be advantageous - Experience in valuing complex financial instruments and arrangements will be advantageous - Understanding of corporate finance principles and valuation techniques - Knowledge of relevant GAAP or IFRS standards - Analytical and problem-solving skills - Business writing and verbal communication skills - Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Familiarity with research databases like Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters, etc.,
